I was overjoyed to receive an email inviting me to display a few of my Pixel Popper Series works at an upcoming exhibition (February 5 – 15th, 2025) at the Galerie Abstract Project in Paris, France.
The theme of the exhibition was “Instants présents- pertinence des géométries” / “Present moments – relevance of geometries” and included the selected works of six international artists who create abstractly: Carol Cooper, Alwin Dorok, Izabela Kowalczyk, Mitsouko Mori, Keith Surridge, Rafał Wieczorek.
Below are candid photos I took at the Vernissage / Opening Reception Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Abstract Project Gallery, 5 Rue des Immeubles Industriels 75011 Paris, France, not too far from Nation / Métro station. We welcomed visitors and encouraged chats about the works on display.
I would like to share a wonderful statement about Geometric Abstraction that I found while on the internet. It is quoted from the following website, for your reference: https://sibu.gallery/blogs/stories/understanding-geometric-abstraction
“The Future of Geometric Abstraction”
“As we move forward, the future of Geometric Abstraction looks promising. With the advent of digital art and technology, artists now have more tools to explore and experiment with geometric forms. This, coupled with the genre’s enduring appeal, ensures that Geometric Abstraction will continue attracting audiences and inspiring artists for years to come.
With its rich history and wide-ranging influence, Geometric Abstraction is a fascinating genre. Its focus on form and space challenges traditional notions of art, offering a fresh perspective on abstract art.”
I would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge the Ontario Arts Council, the Government of Ontario and Definitely Superior Art Gallery in Thunder Bay, Ontario for recommending funding support from their Exhibition Assistance Grant Program. Their support helped towards my being able to participate and attend this exhibition in person in Paris, France.
